Music Performance Group

At Cove Forge, we firmly believe that music can heal; therefore, we offer our Music Performance Group.

For one hour on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, participants gather together with our staff and clients to make music. Once a week, those who participate in the music program perform for the staff and Cove Forge community. Typically, performances are of popular and self-written songs.

In addition to the Music Performance Group, we also offer The Drum Circle, which is a musical activity that encourages involvement for clients that are struggling with communication skills.

Cove Forge has released four music CDs performed by clients: “All I Have,” “Our Story,” “Rooted,” and “Out of the Darkness, Into the Light.”

It is our goal at Cove Forge to utilize a number of different means to help our clients succeed during their stay with us. Through this experience, the music program has continued to aid in the decrease of stress in our clients, as well as serve as a form of fun, physical activity.
